Concrete & Structural Strengthening Improvements

Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber (Structural Strengthening)

The use of a building or civil engineering structures may change throughout the course of its service life, as for example its whole function can change, loads can increase and/or higher building standards are required and the structure must be made compliant. Ontario Concrete & Flooring Solutions provides fully comprehensive solutions with complete systems for all kinds of structural strengthening and improvement. Whether increasing the bending, shear or impact resistance, these systems are available for use on reinforced concrete, steel, wood and masonry load-bearing structures.
  • Column strengthening
  • Beam strengthening
  • Prestressed strengthening
  • Seismic upgrading
  • Earthquake damage rapire
  • Increasing impact resistance
  • Proven durability
  • Crack prevention/reduction
  • etc...

Soil Stabilization

Here at Ontario Concrete & Flooring Solutions we offer high performance soil stabilization systems. Soil stabilization system is a single-component polyurethane injection resin used to seal gushing leaks, including wide gaps in concrete and roads. This hydrophobic, super low viscosity polyurethane reacts with water and expands to form a closed cell, watertight, rigid foam. Due to its low viscosity, this system is used for permeation grouting of loose soils to consolidate soil particles and increase the load-bearing capacity.
  • Extremely durable
  • High performance solution
  • Cheaper and less disruptive than replacement
  • Super low viscosity: penetrates into fine areas
  • Pumped as a single component
  • Variable reaction
  • soil injection of chemical grouts
  • Watertight on gushing leaks

Expansion Joint

Expansion Joint

Expansion Joints vary from structure to structure. OCFS installs a wide variety of concrete expansion joints and nosing systems. Expansion joints permit volume change movement, generally due to temperature change of a concrete structure or membrane. These are often constructed by installing pre-formed, or pre-molded elastic materials between two slabs, between two walls, or between a slab and a wall. Pre-molded expansion joints for installation in commercial, or industrial slabs may be of fiber, sponge rubber, plastic, cork, or rubber membrane composition. Expansion joint materials are highly elastic and resilient, and non-extruding in hot weather, or brittle in cold weather. In addition to the expansion joint material, it is very important to select the most appropriate method of installation and bonding system. OCFS has the resources and experience to select and install the best concrete expansion joint system for your application.
  • High performance solution
  • Cost effective
  • Absorb vibration
  • Hold parts together
  • Protection against induced stress
  • Protection against concrete movement
  • Structural protection against temperature
  • Allow movement due to ground settlement or earthquakes
  • etc...

Joint Sealant

Sealants help control water and air leakage through exterior and interior joints. Horizontal, vertical and overhead joints are all sealed using specialized sealant made from polyurethane, polysulphide, polyurea and other high-tech materials. Sealants keep the concrete structure waterproof during movements resulting from expansion and contraction due to seasonal temperature changes, wind loading and moisture changes. Achieving proper adhesion of the sealer to concrete substrate, and having the proper joint sealant design, is of utmost importance for the long-term performance of the sealant.Ontario Concrete & Flooring Solutions has the expertise and resources to evaluate and install joint sealant systems that will fit your budget and project requirements.

  • Prevent passage of air
  • Prevent passage of smoke
  • Prevent passage of water
  • Provides thermal and sound insulation
  • etc...
